At last! This took very long, but here it is! The 20th Out of the Farm! strip! Somebody suggested it to be about how Largo got his red jumper, and that idea I liked... but no good idea came to my mind, it was very frustrating...untill one day when I told myself "Heck, and why should there be only one story about it?! Let's make it lots!", and that's how I designed the characters of Red and Marta, Largo's nephews, to whom he would tell every ow and then a different story about the origin of the red jumper.
It's nice to have infinite possibilities for this characters, and this first story has been very fun. I love that kind of tales where the Devil makes a deal or daring to somebody, and the main character wins being a smart ass, and here in the Vasque Land there are plenty of those (tales, not smart asses). I have to say it's been tiresome working on this for the past three days and that, in some drawings, I went too fast with the colour and the background... and really, this will be the first and last time I draw a f***ing tuba! That instrument is NOT mancraft! It's some kind of plumming experiment gone wrong!
By the way, a cake goes to the first non-spanish Deviant who finds out what a Txalaparta is!
Hahaha! I laughed and schnertzed coffee when I read this. I love that proverbial smack-in-the-face Largo gives the Devil by naming an *alligator* as his choice of musical instruments, and the result of that challenge. And of course how that "Tall Tale" actually turns out to be true.
Love your Devil style!
me ha hecho partirme el culo de la risa.
¿como se ``toca´´ un cocodrilo?
...
oh... malpienso.
love it!
Awesome!
and now to share it with my friends....
